The Glass Castle

Our church book club is going to discuss The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls tomorrow. Jeanette Walls in her book shares her family's story.

No matter what happens in our lives and in the lives of our ancestors, we all have stories to tell even if they are not as dramatic as that of Jeanette Walls.

  1. That is a great book, really hard to believe it is true. My husband's book club chose it as a selection to read, funny thing is, I read it 4 months prior and wanted him to read it, but he wouldn't. Now he is forced to! Husbands never listen to the wives. I plan on reading her most recent one.

When I read the book, I had to keep reminding myself that the story is true. Jeanette Walls told it in a matter of fact way. We had a lively discussion at our gathering. I think one of the best we have ever had.

One of the comments at the end was "What would men think of the book? I would be interested in hearing what your husband's reaction to it once he has read it and discussed it.
