Here is Santa. Of course, he was not wearing his traditional outfit.

150th Parade

What a beautiful day for a parade. The sky was so blue and the air was clear! Thank you to all who put so many hours into the parade and the Homecoming in general. I had a great spot on 8th Street to take photos. I have uploaded some to my flickr account. Quess who end the parade? None other than Santa himself.

Homecoming 2007

Homecoming 2007 began on Friday. I registered on Friday morning. Saturday morning, I headed downtown. Once I found a place to park, I walked along part of 2nd Avenue East where the Hottest Yard Sale was taking place. I didn't stop and browse as my goal was to go down to the harbour. I took several photos with my new camera. There was a good crowd.

Homecoming 1987

As tomorrow begins the festivities of Homecoming 2007 - celebrating 150 years of the city, I thought I'd add to my Flickr page a couple of photos from 1987 when the city celebrated 130 years and we had a large homecoming event at church as well. The banners were hung in our Sunday School hall.
