Can't find church baptismal records? - Perhaps there is an explanation

Church records are examined regularly by someone from the Presbytery. When the records of the then Knox Presbyterian Church, Owen Sound, were checked, the above note indicates the baptismal records from June 12, 1907 to November 16, 1915 were not in the records examined.

Later in the session minutes, I noticed that they had asked the minister who had recently left, Rev. Rodger, if he still had the records in his possession. He had replied that he had left them with a couple of the elders.

It would appear from the following that at some point these records had been found as the missing dates are included in the finding aid at the United Church Archives in Toronto. If a person was interested in that particular time period, it would be worthwile to check if the missing dates were actually found. These records are not avaiable on microfilm.
