We were within the city limits. The store was around the bend and it was outside the city so it was plowed by the county. Of course, my dad too had to make it the store to open up.

There were a couple of times they took what they needed on a toboggan and walked from the house to the store.

Yes, I do hope that we won't have too many storms but since we are only mid-January, we will get lots more snow. The last few years, February has had very heavy snowfalls.

Thanks for dropping by. At least, we don't have to shovel snow to visit blogs.Janet Ileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10742257036879298830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-305679911018720590.post-4271417415829588442009-01-18T09:51:00.000-05:002009-01-18T09:51:00.000-05:00I can remember years where the plow made just a si...I can remember years where the plow made just a single pass and we had to all shovel well into the road. I guess if your dad wanted customers to get to him he didn't have much choice. I'm hoping the recent cold helps cut off at least some of the lake effect this year but that is probably just wishful thinking!Charley "Apple" Grabowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07193646109965731249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-305679911018720590.post-62676075038942678672009-01-14T22:27:00.000-05:002009-01-14T22:27:00.000-05:00Susan, thanks for dropping but LOL we don't need t...Susan, thanks for dropping but LOL we don't need to ask or sing for more snow as I am sure we will get lots more before the winter is over.Janet Ileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10742257036879298830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-305679911018720590.post-14872128039925405572009-01-14T22:02:00.000-05:002009-01-14T22:02:00.000-05:00Oh the weather outside is frightful, But the fire ...Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow!
