Challenge - Fifth Sentence on page 56

(AKA The Fifth Sentence Challenge) Rules:*
Grab the book nearest you. Right now.* Turn to page 56.*
Find the fifth sentence.*

A few of the geneabloggers are posing this question -- What is on page 56 and the 5th sentence of the nearest book? Well, I picked the one I am reading.

"What about your mother's friends?"

- Not the most interesting of sentences in a most interesting book. It is one that genealogists / family historians would enjoy but you do not have to be one to get engrossed in the story. The book is Family Tree by Barbara Delinsky.

Tomorrow our book club at the church will be discussing this book. I am rereading it. I had read the hard cover version from the library when it first came out. I am finding I am enjoying it the second time around. I had forgotten some of the details. Some of the issues raised in the story should make some interesting discussion. One of the things the book shows is that when you are looking into or researching your family history, you never know what you will find out. You should always be prepared for surprises.

I read Barbara Delinksy's blog at http://blog.barbaradelinsky.com/
